JASON WALLIS

Jason Wallis, M.S. is the Founder and Co-Owner of Fitness Over 50, INC.  He arrived in Corvallis via Cougarville in Pullman, WA where he received a degree in Exercise Science in 1992. Jason then graduated  from OSU  with  a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Nutrition.  He has been providing exercise training and wellness programming for mature adults in the Mid-Willamette Valley since 1994 and established FOF in 1998.  Jason enjoys playing and coaching team sports, golf, and outings at nearby Bald Hill and MacDonald Forest with his son Jaxon, wife Susan, and their dogs.

nate haines

Nate Haines, B.S, MBA began his work at Fitness Over 50 as an OSU intern in in 2003.  After graduating with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, he was the company’s General Manager for 10+ years.  During that time, he returned to OSU and completed a MBA degree.

After marrying Meredith, Nate moved back home to Maui in 2014 to help with his family’s hydroponic farm.  They decided it wasn’t where they wanted to be long term, and returned to Corvallis where Nate worked for a large local agriculture business, Stahlbush Island Farms.

Nate has returned to the FOF “family” and is now Co-Owner and General Manager.  He hopes to take over full ownership of FOF, INC sometime in 2021.  The future of FOF is bright with Nate back in the mix, making our team of staff members better than ever.

Tyler Lancaster

Tyler Lancaster, B.S. Fitness Over 50’s off-site Mobile Program Coordinator.  He graduated from OSU with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2011 after completing a practicum and internship at FOF.  He then joined the staff as a full-time Mature Adult Fitness Specialist for the next year.  In the Fall of 2012, Tyler he got married and moved to the Portland area where he worked as a physical therapy aide for two years.  He returned to Corvallis to re-kindle his passion for the orange and black and jump back into the mix as a staff member on the FOF team.  Tyler loves all sports, including golf, softball, and is currently as assistant Varsity coach for the CHS girl’s basketball team.

Nick Beauchamp

Nick Beauchamp comes to Fitness Over 50 with many years of fitness instruction experience. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Nick most recently lived in Seattle, Washington before relocating to Corvallis in September 2022. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nick started his own fitness consulting business, Elevated Fitness Concepts, which focuses on helping individuals understand how to get the most out of their exercise routines. With both group and individual fitness instruction experience, Nick has been a perfect fit at FOF.

When he is not working, Nick enjoys playing the guitar and being outdoors exploring and participating in his favorite activities: rock climbing, skiing, surfing, roller blading.

Frank Beber

Frank Beber lives in Eugene with his
wife Kathy, as do their two grown sons.
Frank’s previous career was as a Chef in San Francisco and Eugene for over 30 years. In
2015 he decided to return to school and
pursue a career in the fitness industry. In
2017 he received his AAS degree in Exercise
and Movement Science from Lane
Community College. The one word Frank
uses to describe his first day at FOF and
every day since is “inspiring.” The members
make him realize that staying active
physically, mentally and socially will
facilitate a longer, healthier life.
Frank has also taught classes at The
Oregon Research Institute as part of a
research study in senior fitness as well as
strength, balance and conditioning classes
at a senior residential facility in Eugene.
Frank is an avid road cyclist and enjoys
strength training. He is always available to
help, answer questions, or just listen.

Vida Miwa

Vida Miwa, Fitness Over 50’s Assistant Manager, was born and raised in Ashland, Oregon. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public health from OSU. Vida worked at The Regent, Independent Senior Living in Corvallis for 4 years as the Activity Director and then as the Sales Manager.

She lives in Corvallis with her husband Chris and dog Jax. They spend a lot of time out on the trails together mountain biking and running.

Mike Waters

Mike Waters, M.A. had the honor of being
the original fitness director of Timberhill Athletic Club when it opened in 1980. His training in adult exercise science is in heart and chronic disease prevention. Mike has brought a “Fitness is Medicine” philosophy to his program design wherever he’s been in over 40 years in the field. He also managed the Corvallis HP Worksite Health program (TAC had the contract) for 14 awardwinning years. Mike’s expertise today is in motivational strategies for adults interested in being healthy, but having a hard time getting going. He has now joined FOF’s team as Director of Health Promotion. For mature adult exercisers, Mike takes a holistic approach with each individual he works with. He helps people transition into the next stage of their life through a healthy lifestyle . Bruce Caldwell

Bruce Caldwell, M.Ed., was born in Salem Oregon and moved to Corvallis with his family when he was 13 years old. After working at Hewlett Packard for 12 years he earned his Masters in Adult Education where he focused on adult training and development. He did one of his internships at TimberHill Athletic Club and became an ACE certified personal trainer. Bruce spent 7 years working in Portland as a skills trainer/health coach for adults with developmental disabilities. He moved back to Corvallis with his wife and stepson in the summer of 2017. After participating in an obstacle course (Tough Mudder) and competing in the Highland games Bruce has realized his desire for a career as a fitness professional and is excited to be a part of the FOF team.

Bruce enjoys strength training, playing darts, archery, chess, and reading about history.
